Viewing Status Messages

Learn how the system status message appears in the Chat User Portal.

Overview

The system status message is a single, instance-wide announcement configured by administrators. When set, it appears across the User Portal to communicate maintenance windows, outages, or important notices.

Where the Status Message Appears

  • Displayed in the center of the top navigation bar.
  • Visible across the Chat User Portal once configuration finishes loading.
  • Hidden when no message is configured.

The status message content supports rich text formatting, so it may include basic HTML styling.

When Updates Appear

The User Portal reads the status message from configuration on load. If an administrator updates the message:

  1. Refresh the User Portal.
  2. Sign out and sign back in if the message still does not update.

Interacting with the Status Message

The status message is informational only:

  • It cannot be dismissed from the User Portal.
  • Only administrators can change or clear it in the Management Portal.
